The restaurant will be opening its second location northeast of Atlanta at 3370 Sugarloaf Parkway. It is expected to open in December, owner Kartisha Henry told What Now Atlanta.

“We have customers that travel quite a bit in the metro area to come see us,” she said. “This will be the first of many. We like Gwinnett. We have lots of customers that come from DeKalb County, Fulton County and others, so it was time to expand.”

Henry, an Army veteran and serial entrepreneur, said she first got the idea to open a wings restaurant after noticing a void in the area when she and her husband were trying to find a place to get some wings.

“We Googled, went to several spots, and noticed a hole in the market of what we were going for,” she said. “I put that in the back of my mind.”

After scouting out a space, they opened the first location of The Wing Suite in Grayson in February 2019.

The menu at the Lawrenceville location will be the same as the one customers have come to know and love in Grayson. The Wing Suite serves bone-in and boneless wings, Philly sandwiches, Southern fried fish, and chicken and waffles. Customers have a variety of wing flavors to choose from, including The Wing Suite’s signature Piping Peach, a top seller. Dishes can be complemented with sides like fries, baked beans, fried okra, hush puppies and garlic roasted broccoli.

Henry said they have an eye on future growth for The Wing Suite – a family business.

“My son is the manager, he runs the store,” she said. “It’s about building a family legacy. We’re going to keep going. This is the second of many to come.”
