Flower Paradise is the latest tenant to be announced for the upcoming commercial and social hub in Peoplestown, slated to open in 2024.

The shop will feature pre-made bouquets and custom on-site arrangements, as well as tropical plants, orchids and other potted greenery from local growers. Balloons, from singular mylars to archways and backdrops for parties, will also be available.

Peachtree Center visitors might already be familiar with the florist, where in addition to a full flower shop, Flower Paradise does flowers for weddings, funerals and corporate events, as well as office-plant maintenance.

“We started out as a vendor at Peachtree Center’s weekly Green Market,” owner Mindy Lopes said in a press release. “After several consecutive weeks of selling out, they approached us to see if we’d be interested in a retail storefront and we’ve never looked back.”

It was the right time for a new Flower Paradise location, Lopes told What Now Atlanta.

“Everything came along at the right time,” she said. “I was hiring new employees, training new ones. I was ready for another location.”

Flower Paradise 2.0, opening at Terminal South next year, will host community events and classes, a prospect Lopes said she’s extra excited about. She would especially love to host events or workshops for kids.

More locations are a possibility down the line for Flower Paradise, Lopes said.

“I’m ready for it,” she said. “If the opportunity arises, I’m ready.”

Terminal South is an adaptive reuse project featuring more than 45,600 square feet of mixed-use space across two revamped warehouses. The development will include a food hall called Switchman Hall, for which several restaurant concepts have been announced, including Southern Grace, Tiger K Cup Bob and the Original Hot Dog Factory.

“Building One of Terminal South will be home to both traditional retail and our 18-stall food hall,” project developer Melissa Ahrendt said in the press release. “Placing the retail spaces between parking and the food hall was a strategic decision made to ensure maximum visibility for our retailers as tenants like Flower Paradise thrive on foot traffic.”

Led by Stafford Properties, the BeltLine-adjacent development will help link Peoplestown to Downtown Atlanta; Terminal South will be the final stop on the city’s first Bus Rapid Transit line.
