The Irby, a new apartment tower near The Shops Buckhead Atlanta named after Henry Irby, the man widely believed to have founded Buckhead in the 1800s, welcomed its first residents this month.
The multifamily development, at 65 Irby Avenue NW, rose where Henri’s Bakery and Cafe was once housed.
Designed by The Preston Partnership, the development features 12 stories for a total of 277 studio, one- and two-bedroom open-floorplan units positioned above 13,150-square-feet of ground-floor retail and restaurant space with bakery, café, and marketplace Le Bon Nosh taking up one of them.
Other retail and restaurant tenants have not been announced.
On top, 22 penthouse units and a third custom finish package showcasing powder rooms, private wine coolers, soft-close cabinets, and matte black Moen spring faucets are also available.
Key community amenities include a high-rise lookout terrace, Skylounge with a chef-inspired demonstration kitchen and family-style dining area, theater room, game room, and private bar, and elevated courtyard with fire pit, grilling station, TVs and private cabanas.
There is also a saltwater pool, a 24-hour athletic club featuring a yoga studio, dry sauna, and Peloton bike, bike storage with repair station, a pet spa, 24/7 package concierge, valet dry cleaning, a guest suite, and complimentary wine tastings.

I live near the Irby and drive down Paces Ferry Place on a regular basis, and occasionally Irby as well. This developer DESTROYED our city streets. They exhibited NOT one ounce of care or concern for the neighbors or neighborhood. The street has numerous potholes and indentations directly related to the construction equipment and trucks they used. I have lived through countless construction projects both in Atlanta and in other urban areas and have never seen such a disrespectful project. Awful.
