Southern, Korean and Mexican concept planned to open in August.
Downtown Atlanta’s cultural daytime options are expanding.
A new restaurant, Sokome, is currently under construction at 55 Marietta Street NW.
The build-your-own concept will serve breakfast and lunch centered around Southern, Korean and Mexican flavors, owner Danny Yi told What Now Atlanta Wednesday.
Among morning options, guests would be able to order a breakfast sandwich on a pretzel bun or a breakfast burrito. Add-ons such as egg, cheese and Asian slaw would also be offered.
For lunch, expect the option to create your own sandwiches, tacos, or wraps.
Meat choices at SoKoMe are planned to include pulled pork, chicken and beef, including both traditional Korean and Southern smoked barbecue. Fried avocado and kimchi will be served as vegetarian options. Basil lime and cilantro rice will be among accoutrements, as well as pineapple salsa, collard greens and kale salad. For even more flavor, Asian and chili sauces will be served.
Hours for the restaurant will be Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM.
A tentative opening date is set for mid-August.
