“The IKEA Alpharetta Plan & order point with Pick-up” will be located in a 4,306-square-foot space at the Mansell Crossing Shopping Center.
The store format differs from the traditional large IKEA stores that customers may be familiar with. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet with the IKEA store team to plan and order home furnishing solutions. It will offer items for delivery to a customer’s home or to another convenient point of delivery.
“I’m beyond excited to welcome customers at IKEA Alpharetta this summer,” IKEA U.S. market manager Brandon Lomax said in a news release. “No more trekking through that notorious Atlanta traffic. Now you can enjoy IKEA and our inspiring home design with less hassle. The IKEA Alpharetta Plan and order point with Pick-up brings our signature styles closer to the community – making it more accessible, more convenient, and of course, more affordable.”
IKEA opened its first store in the Atlanta market in Midtown in 2005.
Those who enjoy dining or snacking on IKEA’s food offerings, like the famed meatballs, will still have to head to a full IKEA location; the Alpharetta store won’t have a restaurant.
