Alpharetta’s Secreto Southern Kitchen & Bar is heading ITP.

The “contemporary southern” eatery mid-spring will open its second location in-town, according to a press release Wednesday.

Secreto’s new outpost will be situated in Brookhaven’s Brookleigh Marketplace shopping center, at 3575 Durden Drive, in the former Fiorello’s Italian Bistro space.

Owners Jose and Glenda Mata purchased the restaurant space late-2017, according to Steve Josovitz of The Shumacher Group, Inc., who brokered the deal.

Secreto’s name, which translates to “secret” in Spanish, “represents the art of recreating recipes that have been handed down for many generations.”

The Brookhaven menu closely resembles what is offered at the Alpharetta location which first debuted June 2016. It spotlights “farm-fresh” ingredients and “updated southern staples” such as southern fried chicken, grilled lemon basil jumbo shrimp, and crispy seared Heritage Farms pork belly.

The wine program will feature selections from small producers in California and Oregon alongside a mixture of French, Spanish and Italian varietals. A variety of spirits, liquors, and cordials are available alongside a rotating selection of new and classic cocktails such as Secreto’s popular Southern Passion.

Secreto’s interior will which feature dark-leather and reclaimed wood paneling with seating for 86 guests inside and an additional 50 on the outdoor patio. A private dining room can accommodate 22 seated guests.
