The property is a former Wells Fargo bank. The project would demolish the bank building and build a 664-square-foot drive-through and walk-up coffee shop, according to the plans.
Jonathan Spindler is the franchise owner for the location, a Scooter’s Coffee spokesperson confirmed to What Now Atlanta.
Spindler declined to share any information in a phone call.
Scooter’s Coffee started in 1998 in Nebraska. Its menu includes a variety of hot and cold speciality coffee drinks, including its signature “Caramelicious” offering.
The company currently has locations in Roswell, Marietta, Rome and Gray, Ga., with another coffee shop planned for Gainesville, according to its website.
“Scooter’s Coffee is expanding rapidly, and we are well on our way to opening over 1,000 stores,” Todd Graeve, CEO of Scooter’s Coffee, said in a QSR article this summer. “By the end of 2022, Scooter’s Coffee will have over 600 stores open across 26 states and five distribution centers operating, including our newest in Atlanta.”
