Christine and Jean-Marc Metairie, the owners of Atlanta French restaurant Atmosphere, along with Matthieu and Heather Jourdan-Gassin are working on a new patisserie concept, Saint-Germain, inside Ponce City Market.

The team’s desire is to bring a piece of everyday Parisian life to Atlanta in a market environment, as opposed to a higher end restaurant, Matthieu told What Now Atlanta in a phone conversation Wednesday.

Patisserie Saint-Germain will feature a deli and sell artisinal breads, crossaints, and baguettes, as well as desserts including chocolate and macaroons. Retail items available for purchase will include home decor items, gifts, linens, jams, honey and other gifts centered around food.

Saint-Germain plans to open the first week of July.

Greta Sanders, president of Inner-G Hospitality represented Saint-Germain in the transaction.
