You can currently find Rev Coffee Roasters, roastery and cafe, at 1680-B Spring Road in Smyrna, where you can enjoy a pastry and a coffee, or grab some Consensus Blend to go. The roastery itself, however, will likely relocate in the coming months.

Speaking with What Now Atlanta, co-owner Jenn Bimmerle confirmed the company plans to move just its roastery from Smyrna to Sessions St. in Marietta, although the company finds itself at the mercy of the city. The cafe will remain in Smyrna.

Bimmerle suspects Rev Coffee won’t be able to complete the move this year. “As soon as possible is the goal,” Bimmerle shared, “but it will likely be 2022.” In August, Yahoo Finance reported on the Planning Commission meeting that took up the vote to recommend rezoning to City Council. City Council was slated to vote on August 11th.  Bimmerle confirmed the project will move forward but because the opening timeline remains contingent on the city, Rev Coffee has not made an official announcement.

The property at 397 N Sessions St. includes two warehouses on its 1.13 acres, one of which would house Rev’s roastery. Bimmerle also confirmed Micah and Katie Pfister of Sessions Stand, a walk-up and patio seating-only coffee and pastry shop located across the street from the warehouses, plan to open a restaurant in the second warehouse. Rezoning is also necessary for these plans to move forward. The restaurant, when it opens, will sell Rev Coffee, however the two businesses will be separate entities.

Rev Coffee sells everything from single origin beans to blends as well as brewing devices, cups, and other merch and will remain open in Smyrna while the plans for the roastery develop. You can stop by for a cinnamon roll and an espresso seven days a week, or find Rev Coffee Roasters at the Sandy Springs Farmers Markets Saturdays, rain or shine.
