What Now Atlanta recently broke the news of Food Terminal’s expansion to Alpharetta, which should open at 6360 North Point Parkway sometime in January 2022. This will be Food Terminal’s third location since the restaurant first opened in 2017 in Chamblee. And it looks like as soon as Food Terminal is finished opening in Alpharetta, it will move on to its next market, Aria Village.

Irv Jacobson with The Shumacher Group, the Atlanta-based real estate company that specializes in site selection for regional and national restaurants and retailers, recently secured a space for Food Terminal in Aria Village where it will join Yalda, a Persian and Mediterranean eatery slated to open in the village early next year.

We were unable to reach Food Terminal co-owner Rachel Ewe at the time of publication, so we can’t yet share an opening timeline for the newest location, but if we know anything, it’s that Food Terminal is sure to deliver.

The eatery’s sprawling menu highlights the ethnic and cultural diversity of Malaysia. “Malaysian food draws influence from India, Guang Zhou, Hokkien, Teochew, and Hakka provinces due to the early 1900’s migration for tin and railroad labor demand. As such, Food Terminal’s menu features a high variety of Asian street foods with heavy emphasis on Malaysian cuisine,” shares Food Terminal’s website. The menu is meant to conjure the experience of eating at a typical food court in Malaysia, where each cuisine would have its own stall.

It’s safe to say we’re all pretty stoked about the continued growth of this local eatery.
