Renderings this week surfaced for Windward Park, a $400 million Alpharetta mixed-use first announced in 2018. Windward Park is from developers KDC, Worthington Hyde Partners, and Transwestern, and in late spring 2021 will welcome its first component — the Hilton Alpharetta Hotel.
Hilton Alpharetta Hotel is taking reservations starting May 16, according to the property’s website. The 249 room hotel, complete with 6,500 square feet of meeting space, will be owned and operated by Chartwell Hospitality. It was supposed to deliver in late 2020.
In addition to the hotel, future phases call for up to 500,000 square feet of office space over two buildings available in floorplates as large as 50,000 square feet and complete with balconies. Plans also call for 24 live-work townhomes, a 200-unit condo building, and over 31,000 square feet of “restaurant-driven” retail space.
“Windward Park will check a lot of boxes Corporate America is looking for right now: it’s walkable, there are public transportation options, and has abundant open space and restaurant/retail options,” KDC writes of the project on its website.
Design firm Ware Malcomb this week unveiled the project’s renderings on its social media, announcing its involvement with Windward Park. “We are excited to be working with [KDC] in Atlanta on their latest project at Windward Park in Alpharetta, GA,” Ware Malcomb posted alongside the below renders. “This is a multi-site, transit-oriented mixed-use development immediately adjacent to [MARTA] Park & Ride and the new BRT lanes on GA 400…”
