The new location at 1035 Peachtree Street NE will offer two experiences in one. One half of the building will be Prime Cigar, where people can enjoy fine cigars, watch games, socialize with friends and dine on sophisticated finger foods like lamb chops and lobster rolls. The other half, Prime on Peachtree’s fine dining restaurant, will offer modern American cuisine. The menu is expected to include oysters, lobster, and steak dishes.
There will be cigars for sale and smoking will be permitted only in the executive suite’s humidor. There will be a strict dress code enforced, and Gay is speaking with DJ Pforreal (Lil’ Uzi Vert’s DJ) to provide music.
Gay, a Morehouse Business Administration graduate, has been in the restaurant industry for many years. He is part owner of Stix Asian Cuisine (he says is opening next door) and The Boiler Seafood in Buckhead, Atlanta. “This is a prime time area and I want to offer something that is missing,” Gay told What Now Atlanta.
The 3,959 sq. ft. building will cost $150,000 to renovate according to the submitted permits. Gay says he hopes to open the doors in the Summer of 2023.
