Carson Kitchen in Alpharetta recently closed doors after three years in business, and the team behind the popular Standard restaurant in North Fulton is set to take over the space with their own concept. Steve Josovitz of Shumacher Group, Inc managed the selling process. The Carson Kitchen in Alpharetta’s City Center was home to the second location of chef and owner Cory Harwell’s popular Las Vegas and Salt Lake City restaurant chain.

The Standard at Alpharetta is set to open this year at 4 S. Main St. in the Old Courthouse building as part of the Alpharetta City Center development project. The original Standard, located in Historic Roswell at 994 Alpharetta St. opened in 2017 and is owned by Dallas Bond and Jason Chaifetz. There’s hope that the ACC location will follow suit with the success standard already set.
Chaifetz stated that the Alpharetta location menu will be similar to the Roswell location. Food options include pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and wings. The new space comes with a bigger kitchen that will allow the restaurant to expand its menu options, including a woodstone commercial pizza oven. There’s a marble slab that serves as a chef’s table where guests can hang out with chefs as meals are prepared.
The Standard team will complete extensive work on the 3,100-square-foot space to get the most out of the space. The restaurant will also offer a full bar, along with at least 12 taps featuring primarily local beers. Those dining at the restaurant can expect to see TVs all sound the restaurant, a patio space, and live music.
