Origin Market is moving for the second time this year.
Originally situated in the 2 Peachtree Street building since 1993 as R+R Produce, husband and wife co-owners Luke and Leti Reid had to shut down following the property’s change in ownership late-2017.
In April 2018, R+R Produce opened as Origin Market out of a shared space with co-working concept “Post-Office.”
But that relationship abruptly ended June 1, 2018, according to the company’s Facebook page.
“We are moving,” the social media post announced.
“We had to close but we will be back as soon as the new location is ready.”
Now, Origin Market is in the process of re-opening in Downtown’s historic Healey Building, at 57 Forsyth Street NW, in suite 61.
It’s unclear why the cafe/grocer had to shutter it’s practically new spot at Underground Atlanta.
The Reids did not immediately return What Now Atlanta’s request for comment.
In related news, Mocha Pops will neighbor the cafe/grocer in its forthcoming home.

So this will be located on the ground floor restaurant space, that has been vacant for years, in the apartment building across from City Hall? This will be a welcome addition to South Downtown. Your report is more accurate than the report from the AJC, in that they did not identify the quadrant in the address designation.
John, thanks for the note. We were not able to confirm the exact space but your estimation appears to be correct ~ Caleb
