The establishment will be located at 645 Shelton Avenue Southwest and Metropolitan Parkway in a massive 12,000 square foot space.

“Our business will be all about uplifting the community and having an impact on development in the area. We want to create a space for those who enjoy art and hospitality to come and enjoy themselves,” Colon told What Now Atlanta (WNA) on Wednesday.

is setting the bar high for guest experience: “We want to hold our Asian fusion menu to a four star standard, and our art gallery will feature local artists whose works have been featured in the High Museum of Art as well as other galleries and museums around the world.”

Artlanta opened in October and has hosted two exhibits and two art seminars. The gallery has an upcoming exhibit on February 8th called Black Excellence.

Colon also cited the Westside Trail part of the Atlanta Beltline and nearby Castleberry Hill Arts District as reasons for opening the establishment in the area. Additionally, the Clark Atlanta University graduate has roots in the neighborhood.

“We want to also host private events and be at the forefront of festivals happening in Atlanta.”

Walter Jordan of the Dogwood Restaurant Consulting Group is expediting the building permit and liquor license.

Adair Park and neighboring West End have been snowballing in popularity. The Beltline’s Westside Trail – being built through the neighborhood – along with the West End MARTA rail station offer options for transportation and inter-connectivity to surrounding neighborhoods. The historic architecture, existing infrastructure in the commercial core, and infill lots ready for new construction make for great potential neighborhood fabric.

The location is also a part of the Tax Allocation District  (TAD) set up by the Atlanta Beltline.
