A new eatery is in the works for East Atlanta Village.

According to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta, Urban Deli is planned for 1297 Glenwood Ave SE, across the street from Hippin’ Hops Brewery.

The space for the deli is 793 square feet. According to the application, there will be no cooking on-site. The scope of work on the former barber studio includes construction of a new restroom.

Prior to opening, the deli has been hosting pop-up events at 404 Coffee at 847 McDaniel Street SW. Interested eaters can follow @TheUrbanDeli to learn more.

Ownership of Urban Deli could not immediately be reached for information about when the deli is expected to open, but this story will be updated when What Now Atlanta learns more.
