A building permit application with the City of Atlanta details work to renovate the building to be a take-out restaurant called Jerk Out.

The property used to be an automotive repair shop before being adapted into restaurant and retail space with leasing led by commercial real estate agency Habif Properties. The property is located near the Eastside BeltLine Trail and two blocks from Madison Yards.

Bakery and coffee shop Kupcakerie is currently located in the other building at the property. It was previously reported that Supremo Taco would be joining Kupcakerie at the space.

The scope of the work for Jerk Out includes replacing “a garage door with a framed wall to install entry door.” The space is 1,180 square feet. According to the building permit application, the projected cost of construction is $38,000.

According to a filing with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office, Jerk Out Caribbean Restaurant & Grill LLC was first created in 2019.

What Now Atlanta has reached out to the owner of Jerk Out, and this article will be updated when we learn more details about the restaurant.
