It was announced today that several significant tenants have signed on to Hugh Howell Marketplace, an upcoming Publix-anchored shopping center in the metro Atlanta suburb. Hugh Howell Marketplace is being led by Branch Properties, an Atlanta-based real estate investment and development firm. They broke ground on the 89,510-square-foot development in October of 2020.

Leading the list of restaurants and retailers is Antico Sporto, an all new concept from famed Atlanta-based pizza restaurant Antico Pizza Napoletana. Created by owner and founder Giovanni Di Palma, Hugh Howell Marketplace will be home to the concept’s first location and the fourth location for the Antico brand.

The more intimate style restaurant will bring a smaller scale take on the beloved pizzeria, occupying only a 2,400-square-foot space. It will feature outdoor seating for guests to enjoy open-air dining. As far as the menu, Antico Sporto will offer customer-favorite Neapolitan-style pizzas, baked in the same traditional Acunto Napoli oven from Naples as in the original restaurant.

“Antico is a staple in the Atlanta restaurant scene, and we are pleased to tap into the area’s desire for outdoor dining and provide Tucker with an exceptional space to gather over high-quality pizza,” said Branch Partner Brett Horowitz in a press release statement.

The growing lineup of restaurants coming to Hugh Howell Marketplace will also include American restaurant chain First Watch which specializes in breakfast, brunch and lunch. It will occupy a 4,200-square-foot space at the property.

American sub sandwich chain, Jersey Mike’s Subs, and Buffalo Wild Wings “GO,” a smaller format of the national chain designed specifically for takeout and delivery, are also planning to establish a presence in Tucker. Pending approval of a request to rezone a portion of the land, gusto!, a local fast-casual restaurant specializing in fresh bowls and wraps, could be coming to the shopping center, as well.

Service and healthcare-oriented tenants will include ATI Physical Therapy; The Joint Chiropractic; Scenthound dog grooming and Piedmont Urgent Care.

Such recent signings brings the shopping center to 93% pre-leased, with more tenants anticipated to be announced in the near future.

“As the city of Tucker’s growth story continues to evolve, our team is looking forward to delivering a fresh mix of offerings that cater to the community,” Horowitz said. “After breaking ground on Hugh Howell Marketplace less than a year ago, we have concentrated on identifying restaurants and service-oriented concepts that would seamlessly round out the shopping center, and we have been blown away by the steady leasing success prior to turning over spaces to tenants.”

Hugh Howell Marketplace isn’t Branch’s only forthcoming development. They are currently developing five other Publix-anchored shopping centers across the Southeast, two of which are in Georgia – Perimeter Marketplace in Dunwoody; Summerhill Station in Southwest Atlanta; Merganser Commons at Dogwood Estates in Milton, Fla.; Moncks Corner Marketplace in Moncks Corner, S.C.; The Market at Hays Farm in Huntsville, Ala.; and Summerhill Station in Southwest Atlanta, Ga.
