Anderson has been operating two-time Elite 100 winner Metrofresh since 2005 after taking a hiatus from the limelight.
While Anderson has performed on a few stages in Atlanta during his Metrofresh tenure, After Forever will be the actor and chef’s first time back on the small screen following a 15-year “retirement” from acting.
“After Forever is a uniquely romantic, touching, funny and heartbreaking new short-form internet series that tells the story of Brian and Jason, a 50-ish New York City gay couple, who have it all until they don’t,” according to a press release about the series.
Anderson (Doogie Howser, Party of Five) stars as Jason alongside Emmy-nominated Kevin Spirtas (Days of Our Lives, Friday the 13th: Part VII) as Brian.
After Forever follows Jason and Brian and their friends “through a journey of love, loss and moving on.”
The 8-episode first season (an average 11 minutes each) is set to premiere April 24, 2018, on Amazon.
A screening in Atlanta is slated for May 1, 2018, at The Plaza Theatre.
After Forever was co-created by Emmy-nominated television writer, playwright Michael Slade, and Kevin Spirtas. Season One was directed by Emmy Award winner Jennifer Pepperman.
