Fast casual concept McAlister’s Deli today announced that it is planning an Atlanta expansion following recent growth in Thomasville and Valdosta.

The company is actively seeking franchisees in Fulton, Cobb, DeKalb and Gwinnett Counties, as well as “other territories” throughout Georgia.

Currently, McAlister’s has three existing metro Atlanta area locations in Roswell, Kennesaw, and Lawrenceville; nine total locations in Georgia; and one new restaurant slated to open in 2016 in Augusta.

The deli chain known for its sandwiches, “Texas-sized” spuds, and “Famous Sweet Tea.”

The company made local headlines in 2013 when “Angry Chef” Ron Eyester received a cease and desist letter from the chain over Rosebud menu item The Big Nasty.
