The permit comes after a request to amend the 6.2-acre site plan was reviewed and approved by the Zoning Review Board and the Atlanta City Council in late 2021.

As reported by What Now Atlanta last November, a rezoning was initially granted on 480 17th Street NW from I-2 (Heavy Industrial) to MRC-3C  to accommodate the 6.2-acre mixed-use development in 2018. However, specific variances from the approved development standards were requested to accommodate the five-story, 858,336 square foot building.
