Ray Ray’s Car Wash first opened in Augusta last year. Now, the company is proposing to open a car wash in Evans at 531 Rountree Way.

The car wash would be more than 4,500 square feet, according to construction plans. It is about 15 minutes from the existing location of Ray Ray’s Car Wash.

The business offers a variety of washes with surf-themed names, from Total Wipeout to Big Kahuna. Both single washes and membership packages are available.

Property owners in the area objected to the rezoning request for the car wash in 2023, citing concerns about increased noise and traffic, the Augusta Chronicle reports. The Columbia County Board of Commissioners first rejected then later approved rezoning for the car wash.

The team behind Ray Ray’s Car Wash is Raymerica LLC, a partnership between local businessmen Gary Simpson and Raymond Carnes.
