Jet’s Pizza is planned for a space on Hugh Howell Road, northeast of Atlanta. According to construction plans, the store will be 1,625 square feet.

Brothers John and Eugene Jetts founded Jet’s Pizza in 1978, opening the first location (called Jetts Party Shoppe & Pizzeria) in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Eugene Jetts had been looking to buy a house when he instead signed a lease at the space that would become the brand’s first restaurant. “I think we can all agree we’re glad he didn’t buy that house almost 45 years ago,” says the company website.

The brand became Jet’s Pizza in 1985, and the first franchised store opened in 1998. There are now more than 400 Jet’s Pizza locations across the U.S., including 10 in metro Atlanta. In addition to a variety of pizzas, the menu includes salads, wings, breads, calzone-style sandwiches and desserts.

The owner of the upcoming Tucker location could not immediately be reached, but according to the Jet’s Pizza website, the store is “Opening Soon.”
