Henry’s, from the owner of  Midtown’s Campagnolo Restaurant + Bar, will open in the freestanding building at 132 10th Street between Peachtree and Juniper streets, that previously housed the short-lived Mint3 Thai & Sushi Bar (formerly Tenth Thai Cuisine & Lounge).

The general public are invited to attend Henry’s grand opening Saturday. The celebration doubles as a benefit for AV 200 Ride (supporting the AIDS Vaccine and Emory Vaccine Center) and AIDS Research Consortium of Atlanta (ARCA), according to the event listing.

The party will take place from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and includes complimentary house wine, beer, passed appetizers and a cash bar. There is a suggested $10 donation at the door.

Menu highlights at Henry’s include Ahi Tuna Pizza, Cilantro Deviled Eggs, Thai Chicken Salad, Patty Melt Burger with Russian Dressing on Texas Toast, New Orleans BBQ Shrimp with local Grits, Chipotle Hot Wings and Smoked Short Ribs Tacos.

The interior boasts two bars made of reclaimed materials and seating for 100 guests. An additional 60 seats will be available on Henry’s front porch. There are plans to build a second patio area to seat 150 under the canopy of the trees on 10th Street, slated to be complete by mid-summer.

Henry’s will be open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to midnight.

  1. Man, John Dewberry has been sitting on that stupid block forever! Get on with a big project

  2. I hope they survive. After almost 30 years in the restaurant business; when I see a new business about to open, whether in a new location or ESPECIALLY in a failed location, I ask myself: “what makes them think that what they offer is going to bring people back again and again” and “are they good at what they do or are they morons”?

I think we all knew that opening up another Thai place in the same spot that just closed without making any changes to the facade and presumably, nothing inside either, we all knew they were the morons AND doomed. Based on what I see on the outside, I will definitely venture inside to see what’s what. And I’m hoping that these proprietors are good at what they do 🙂

  3. Good luck – but I wish the entire block would be developed with retail, a movie theatre and great restaurants to help Midtown truly become even greater!

  4. @Matt, a theater would be fantastic. We could do with a boutique concept (3 screens, coffee shop, book store) in that area. Would be a terrific gathering place. Another option would be a music venue (local band).

  5. Urbane, actually movies theater, shops and restaurants were planned and advertised on this corner lot at 10th and Peachtree about 15 years ago…but owner decided to hold off on developing this corner.
