Hello Hilo – named for Hilo, Hawaii where King’s Hawaiian started more than 70 years ago – will be a fast-casual restaurant serving an irresistible menu of innovative, handcrafted items inspired by Hawaiian fare.

Hello Hilo will offer an oasis amidst the bustling intersection at Limestone and Jesse Jewell Parkways, with lush greenery and a colorful exterior designed to evoke the architecture of Hawaii’s Big Island. The Hawaii-inspired menu will feature savory breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, a keiki (kids) menu, fun snacks and drinks, and sweet treats found only at Hello Hilo.

Guests will be transported to a welcoming island retreat as they step into the restaurant, with curated art installations, an open kitchen, and the sweet aroma of fresh-baked treats. The indoor dining area leads to a covered lanai (patio) with flexible seating to relax, gather and catch up with friends and family. A thoughtfully designed and fully covered double drive-thru, as well as online ordering with a separate entrance for pick-up, will give guests the flexibility to grab and go on busy days.

“We want to continue sharing what makes Hawaii such a special place through Hawaii-inspired food and the ‘Aloha Spirit’ (an expression of caring and sharing that is an essential part of island culture),” said Courtney Taira, granddaughter of King’s Hawaiian founder Robert R. Taira. “The Northeast Georgia community has become part of our ohana (family) over the past decade. This is the right place to bring Hello Hilo to life.”

Hello Hilo will open late spring 2023, creating approximately 100 full- and part-time jobs in Gainesville, GA. Recruiting will begin in April. For more information visit www.hellohiloeats.com.
