The cooking school at 206-B Johnson Ferry Road is set to have its first couple of classes on June 28, according to Hal’s Kitchen’s website.

Hal’s will open in space occupied by the now shuttered Ramon’s Mexican Kitchen.

Cyndi Sterne, a “local cooking and entertaining expert,” is opening the cooking school, named after her father Hal. Chef Jessica Ray will act as director and executive chef for Hal’s Kitchen.

The cooking school will offer everything from demonstration classes to culinary boot camp.

Classes are designed to help students learn to “time the perfect dinner party, have a great girls’ night out, attend skill building hands on classes, or have the perfect date night.”

“I want people to relax and enjoy the process of cooking,” Sterne said. “What I’ve experienced time and time again is the more fun you have in the kitchen, the better their dish turns out.”
