For fans of Greek food, gyros need no introduction.
Those of us lucky enough to live in Atlanta are also privy to a local shop called Gyro Gyro anytime we need a fix.
Fortunately, those looking to find another location for Gyro Gyro won’t have to wait long, as there’s one slated to come to the Southern Feedstore Food Hall at 1245 Glenwood Ave SE #1.
“Everything is under construction as we speak now,” says owner Nathan Justice when What Now Atlanta reached out for further comment. “We don’t have a solid date yet, but I do know that we’re targeting mid to late September.”
Most people know gyros have popular bases of beef and lamb, but Gyro Gyro has other offerings such as the Mahi-Mahi wrap and a fish taco pita wrap. They keep a focus on freshness and quality, and their website states, “In other words, you can tuck in to that big, warm, juicy lambzilla of a gyro knowing full well that it’s made with the freshest fixings.”
As for its spot in the Southern Feedstore Food Hall, Nathan says, “We’re going to be one of six booths there. We’re just looking forward to getting our second location up and running.”
Among the other offerings in the Pellerin Real Estate-led development will be another location of Woody’s Cheesesteaks and Buteco, the food hall’s anchor.
