Plans were filed in Atlanta for Windsor Street Market, set for 780 Windsor Street SW.

Windsor Street Market LLC is registered to Sharod Simpson, founder of God is Dope, a Christian-based lifestyle brand.

“Our mission is to bring awareness to God in our own way through fashion,” says the God is Dope Facebook page

According to Fulton County property records, Simpson’s LLC owns both the property at 780 Windsor Street and 787 Windsor Street (where God is Dope is headquartered).

Plans for the food truck park show a large courtyard area for dining, a food truck lot, nine booths and three pop-up areas. Above the booths would be rooftop dining and lawn games.

“The Mechanicsville neighborhood presently has few food service offerings,” says a document filed in Atlanta. “Our residential, commercial and industrial neighbors will all benefit from a rotation of food service vendors in the community.”

What Now Atlanta reached out to Simpson for comment, but didn’t immediately hear back.

CNN profiled Simpson in 2018 about the rise of his faith-based fashion brand, saying he created the concept in 2015 by spending $25,000 for 5,000 shirts. The brand gained exposure from celebrities including Reggie Wayne, Derrick Rose, and Janet Jackson, says CNN.

At that time, Simpson teased that the brand would extend beyond clothing into music, movies and more.

“People see hats and shirts right now,” Simpson told CNN. “But I think in five to 10 years, they’ll understand how far this movement will go.”

Several events have recently come to 787 Windsor, including the Revolt Summit, spearheaded by Sean “Diddy” Combs.
