Evolation Yoga is part of “a collective of studios” that carries “the same brand and are a network of instructors and studio owners.”

Giemza opened his Evolation Yoga in Midtown at the end of 2013 after nearly 20 years of working nine-to-five.

“We’re looking to mimic that footprint some place else in town,” Giemza told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a telephone interview Thursday.

The “footprint,” a 4,000-square-foot space, includes two yoga rooms for hot yoga and non-hot styles of yoga, changing rooms with multiple showers, vanities and retail including activewear and accessories.

Giemza and his team are looking at neighborhoods like Grant Park and West Midtown.

“We’re more keen on diverse communities that are pedestrian-friendly, walkable. We want to provide existing members additional locations and grow the community outside of Midtown.”

Giemza’s plan is to identify location number two in the next three months and open within six. Peter Kruskamp with The Shumacher Group is representing Giemza in the transaction.

“Evolation is not fitness yoga. It’s more about going inward. There’s a lot of breath work. Slowing down, allowing you to be present, which has a very relaxing effect.”

Where should Giemza open his second Evolation Yoga? Leave your thoughts in the comments…

  1. Check out East Point (Egan Park, Jefferson Park), College Park (Main street), or Hapeville (Virginia Park). These quaint Craftsman style home communities are near the entry into the busiest airport in the US.

  2. We would love for Evolation to come down to Glenwood Park or Grant Park. So much developing going on but we don’t have too many fitness studios yet. Lots of young, athletic folks moving in close to the future Beltline!
