Since 2018, Views Bar and Grill in Detroit, Michigan has been enticing a diverse cast of customers. During the day, it’s a “family-oriented” restaurant with a wide-reaching menu serving classics like chicken and waffles or shrimp alfredo.

At 9 p.m. however, the flashy lights come on, the DJ starts spinning and the drinks start flowing. And after three successful years, Views is taking its balancing act to the ATL this March.

Views Bar and Grill is going to open its second-ever location, at 200 Peachtree St., downtown in the space formerly occupied by Braves All-Star Grill.

“My attraction to the Atlanta area has been with me since I was a kid,” said owner Darius Statum, who has family from Georgia, in a phone interview with What Now Atlanta. “It’s either Atlanta or Houston that’s open right now so it was a toss-up between the two. My heart has always been here with Atlanta so I said why not?”

Statum adds that the menu from the Detroit location will remain mostly intact in the expansion to Atlanta but with some key additions: pizza, stir fry and a full-line of pasta.

Newcomers may be overwhelmed with the array of options on Views’ menu, so Statum has a recommendation for those trying Views for the first time.

“I probably got the best lamb chops anybody in the United States of America has ever tasted,” Statum laughed. “The finishing sauce I put on them is second-to-none.”

Of course, food is only part of the allure to Views. As Statum says, Views is “everything under one roof.”

In addition to the burgers and chicken wings, the spot boasts an eclectic collection of drinks and cocktails, with drinks like the aptly named “Ciroc Punch” to “Henny-Thing Is Possible.”

To stand out in downtown Atlanta, you need to pack a punch. Statum thinks that Views Bar and Grill has that.

“We come in with our own twists,” he said. “The Atlanta market is a thriving market. If you got a product that the people love, it’s a hit overnight. I believe that Atlanta will definitely love the product that Views is producing.”

Views is going to be open for private events for NBA All-Star Weekend beginning on March 5 and hopes to be open to the public by the end of March.
