Delilah’s Everyday Soul is set to open in South Downtown early next year. The restaurant will go into a 116-year-old storefront on Hotel Row, on Mitchell Street.

“Atlanta’s most ambitious soul food restaurateur is coming to historic Hotel Row,” said an announcement from South Downtown Atlanta on Instagram.

Delana Winder Reeves and her husband, Jason, own the concept. It is named after Delana’s mother, Delilah Winder, a restaurateur who started Delilah’s Everyday Soul in Philadelphia. Delana and Jason brought the concept to Atlanta in 2020.

The menu includes fried chicken (as a plate, or on a sandwich) along with southern-inspired sides like collard greens, fried green tomatoes, cornbread and the highly acclaimed mac and cheese. Other items include fish and chips, waffles and homemade strawberry lemonade.

“It is an amazing, amazing area,” Delana Winder Reeves said in the announcement. “I love the old historical feel, especially of Hotel Row. 227 Mitchell Street is the perfect place for us to open our first standalone Delilah’s Everyday Soul.”

The restaurant is expected to open in early 2025. It will join other food-and-beverage concepts now open on the street, including Tyde Tate Kitchen and Spiller Park Coffee.

Until then, Delilah’s Everyday Soul can be found at Chattahoochee Food Works, Politan Row at Ashford Lane, and most recently, Politan Row at Colony Square.
