A new convenience store and gas station is proposed for Moreland Avenue, according to a land development application with the City of Atlanta.

The site would be built at 2265 Moreland Ave SE and include six fuel pumps, according to the application. Documents show that the proposed store would be about 4,059 square feet.

The owner behind the project is Asad Noorani of Noorani & Associates.

“Hopefully that will be a great amenity for the surrounding neighborhoods… The residents will greatly need a station like this because there isn’t a station for a good two-mile stretch,” Noorani said in a recent video detailing the project. “We hope to boost the economic growth on the horizon of the FIFA World Cup, and the overall outlook for the city of Atlanta is great for the next few years.”
