New Renderings, Timeline Released For Centennial Olympic Park’s Rebirth

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) last month released new renderings and a timeline outlining the expansion and renovation of Centennial Olympic Park.

GWCCA overseas the Downtown park which has been undergoing these “transformative projects” since early 2017.

The West Lawn Promenade and Fountain of Rings Plaza, debuting in December, will be the first two completed Centennial Olympic Park projects:


Construction is expected to break ground in January 2018 on a special events center:



Finally, an amphitheater and other improvements will break ground March 2018:


Funds for the projects were raised by the Georgia General Assembly, the private sector, and through other philanthropic measures in honor of Centennial Olympic Park’s 20th anniversary.
