The last day of service was April 13, 2024. The restaurant, which featured VanTrece’s “Global Soul” approach to Italian cuisine, opened last year and went on to receive positive reception to its food and atmosphere. The menu included traditional Italian dishes with local and seasonal ingredients.

VanTrece owns two other restaurants, Oreatha’s At The Point (also in Cascade Heights) and Twisted Soul in West Midtown. She also manages Catering by VanTrece, known for the high-profile events it serves in the professional sports and entertainment fields, and was recently selected as Curating Chef for the American Express Centurion Lounge at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

“Between the restaurants, the Centurion Lounge, the constant catering requests, a new cookbook and final negotiations for a network television show, I was just pulled in too many directions,” VanTrece said. “Something had to give. And as much I love Italian cuisine and the food we were crafting at La Panarda… it was the last restaurant to open, so it was the one we chose to close.”

The move to close La Panarda will allow VanTrece to focus on expanding the brand in other ways, both nationally and internationally.

“Soon another restaurant will move into the La Panarda restaurant space and, with the support of the neighboring residents, the area will thrive,” VanTrece said. “The local community deserves that.”
