A liquor license application was filed with the City of Atlanta for a new restaurant called The N Zone (a play on “the end zone”) at 51 Elliott Street SW, right near Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Elliott Street Deli & Pub, which closed late last year, was formerly located at the Castleberry Hill property.

According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, which first reported the news, a company registered to Newton’s father purchased the Elliott Street building.

This isn’t the Atlanta native’s first business. Fellaship, a cigar bar, lounge and restaurant, opened in 2019, right around the corner from The N Zone’s planned location.

It’s not yet clear what type of food or drinks will be served at The N Zone, but according to the liquor license application, the establishment will feature dancing and live entertainment. The space is 5,000 square feet and is expected to seat 80 people.

Newton has played for the Carolina Panthers and the New England Patriots. He could not be immediately reached for comment about The N Zone.
