South Florida-based Bulla Gastrobar is planning its first Georgia location.

The restaurant, a concept from Centurion Restaurant Group, will occupy a two-story space at Sixty 11th in Midtown, the Atlanta Business Chronicle (ABC) reports.

Bulla Gastrobar serves Spanish and Catalan plates, tapas, meat, cheeses and more at its current locations in Doral and Coral Gables.

According to the ABC, the new location will feature a 1,500-square-foot outdoor patio and a bar that is intended to be the focal point of the restaurant.

Sixty 11th is the newest phase of the 12th & Midtown development, and stands at Crescent Avenue and 11th Street.

  1. Here are some ideas if not just for Midtown but Atlanta proper in general…A Wax Museum along the line’s of “Madame Tussauds” as there are so many famous people who are from Georgia. A live music venue along the line’s of “House of Blues”…There’s the “City Winery” but there should be more. Midtown needs to have less EMPTY STORE FRONTS! It would seem that when they put these buildings up, there was no accounting for the space that it would take to obtain the retail stores the caliber of Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, as there simply isn’t enough space. If we’re going to try to compete with NYC and Chicago, we need more than just tall arse buildings. We need some variety in retailers… I think they could do an Off Saks store, Loehmann’s, DEAN & DELUCA, Some type of mirco-brewery with live music on stage, a really cool book store/cafe (I’ve been to several in NYC), a cool interactive toy store with toys from spanning the Globe/Decades it would be a hit with all ages (be sure to include Japanese toys)…that’s it for now…

  2. Mimi, I like your ideas they are constructive- we do have an International City- as we have a vast amount of convention business and these are great thoughts. I have also heard many requests for an authentic “Mainstream Jazz Club”. Thank you for your comments.
