A neighborhood butcher shop from Florida is coming to Alpharetta.

Southern Steer Butcher is planned for 4620 Kimball Bridge Road at the Kimball Crossing shopping center. The shop offers a range of meats and other items from sustainable sources, including chicken, steak, sausage, sides and more.

Greg Snyder founded Southern Steer Butcher in 2013. The shop now has locations in Orlando, Jacksonville, Clearwater, Sarasota and St. Petersburg. A location is also planned for Lakeview, Texas, according to the website. The company is expanding with franchising.

The new location in Alpharetta is more than 5,200 square feet, according to leasing documents. Formerly occupied by a fitness center, it had been on the market since July 2020, according to the documents. The shopping center also features Bagel Boys Cafe and Flavor Juicery.
