The new outpost, called Commoner Salon, will be located at Pellerin Real Estate‘s building at 1188 McLendon in Little Five Points.

The 12-chair gender-neutral salon plans to offer the talent of experienced independent stylists only.

Commoner Salon will be similar to Akasa in that it will feature local art – changing the collection out quarterly – and holding opening night events.

Leffelman plans for the location to open in time for the Little Five Points Halloween Parade this fall.

As for the building housing the salon, Pellerin Real Estate recently closed on the property. Principal Philippe Pellerin told WNA that his initial plans to turn the building into coworking space have changed, and that there is still about 2,000 square feet of space available for retail or office use.
