Ponce City Market clearly isn’t in the business of fancy names. It’s much-anticipated rooftop space is called “The Roof” and now, the property will soon feature another outdoor space named The Shed.

Instead, Jamestown Properties appears to be focusing its efforts on its goals of creating a “true” public gathering place and encouraging alternative transportation, as evident in the details of the forthcoming space.

The Shed will open Tuesday May 3 from 4 to 8 PM along with the Ponce City Farmers Market, per a press release.

The almost-finished structure runs paralell to the Eastside Trail immediately outside Ponce City Market, featuring an extended outdoor patio.

Bringing together local farmers and makers, The Shed, in partnership with Community Farmers Markets will offer everything from prepared food and fresh produce to home and beauty products . Vendors will include King of Pops, Farm Burger, Turnrow Bath Body & Home and more.

The space will be open every Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m., through Tuesday, December 20.
