“Bad news Cameli’s fans!,” Owner George Cameli wrote on the social media site. “Our last full day of business will be Sunday December 11th.”

Cameli’s Pizza in Little Five Points will be the second location for the 26-year-old brand to close in recent years. The pizzeria said goodbye to its Ponce de Leon Avenue location in 2017.

“For over 26 years Cameli’s has been a part of the in-town Atlanta landscape and we are incredibly proud to have been there in the earlier days that helped define in-town Atlanta,” Cameli said. “The last three years have taken their toll on us and we just simply can’t continue.”

Cameli has one final request for the restaurant’s most loyal patrons: “We’d like to keep our current employees busy and making money for the next two weeks so if you are in the area please stop in for a drink and a slice or order pickup or delivery…,” Cameli wrote. “We are a little short staffed so please relax and be patient and maybe leave a fat tip while you’re there.”
