The restaurant, at the corner of Ralph McGill and Glen Iris, is hosting a soft opening Thursday.

“…A Mano’s soft opening is full, with Friday’s official opening close behind. We are eager to earn your patronage…,” according to the Facebook post.

For dinner, expect traditional Italian cuisine like “fresh pastas, antipasti, and sustainably sourced proteins, leveraging traditional Italian cooking methods and locally sourced ingredients.”

The restaurant, in the works since 2014, was originally slated to open fall 2015 as “Il Gusto.”

At the time, Owner George DeMeglio was consulting with BoccaLupo chef/owner Bruce Logue in planning the concept.
