A building permit application was filed with the city of Atlanta for a space at 381 Moreland Avenue SE. The space is 1,308 square feet, and the scope of work includes some demolition; a new bar counter and finishes; and mechanical, plumbing and lighting work.

4West was founded by partners Troy Berry and Brian Clark. According to the website, they opened the bar and lounge on 127th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevard in New York in 2021. 4West aims to be “home for everyone – from creatives to corporate managers to stay-at-home entrepreneurs – where they can come together and have their social and entertainment needs met in an environment that is welcoming to all regardless of skin color or orientation.”

The New York lounge serves signature cocktails and bar bites and sides including mango jerk wings, catfish sandwiches and collared greens. They also host happy hour, Taco Tuesday and open mic events.

According to a filing with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office, 4West ATL LLC was created in February 2023.

What Now Atlanta reported earlier this year on a 4West planned for 845 Flat Shoals Ave SE. It’s unclear if this location is still happening, or if 4West’s first Atlanta outpost was moved to Moreland Avenue. The owners could not be reached for immediate comment when contacted about the new location.
