Grant Park fitness center that opened in June expanding its offerings.

Kurt Gillon, owner of Balanced Fit Life Training Studio in Grant Park, filed plans with the City of Atlanta Thursday for interiors alterations within Balanced Fit Life at 760 Confederate Avenue. The renovated space will allow room for an additional yoga studio.

“Yoga has always been in the plans for Balanced Fit Life from the start,” Gillon, who previously managed Village Fitness in East Atlanta, told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a telephone conversation this week.

Balanced Fit Life opened in June and already offers a variety of classes including Pilates and Pure Barre.

With the more open 1,884-square-foot space, the studio will feature one-on-one personal training on one side of the and yoga and other classes on the other.

Renovations, including knocking down part of the wall that divides the suite, will cost an estimated $30,000.
