The burger chain is proposed for 4764 Atlanta Hwy, according to construction documents. The plans indicate there will be room for indoor dining, as well as a drive-thru. Renderings also show outdoor patio space.
Franchise group Made To Order Holdings is the team behind the new location. The group has also opened Whataburger restaurants in Covington (11200 Town Center Drive) and Monroe (701 Pavilion Pkwy). Vice President of Operations Scott Jordan-Wheeler spoke with What Now Atlanta earlier this year about the team’s plans to open several locations in Georgia.
Founded in 1950 in Corpus Christi, Texas, Whataburger is now headquartered in San Antonio. In addition to burgers, the menu includes chicken, fries, onion rings, salads and shakes. The company recently celebrated its 1,000 location with a corporate-owned store right here in Atlanta at Akers Mill Square (2955 Cobb Pkwy SE).
