Bringing an accomplished track record in restaurant operations and a combined 38 years of development experience, the franchise group consisting of Tim Yates, Carlos Arenas and Felipe Castellanos will embark on plans to elevate the sports bar market in Atlanta. Walk-On’s stands out with its unique Louisiana-culture approach and offers a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes from a chef-driven menu committed to big flavor and quality.

“Together as a group, Carlos, Felipe and I immediately knew the Walk-On’s franchise model was more than just your typical sports bar concept,” said Yates, whose years of restaurant experience includes working with brands such as McDonalds, IHOP, Perkins and Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles. “We saw an undeniable opportunity to help grow a brand we believe in and receive the support necessary by their dedicated team to expand with more Walk-On’s locations in the future. The menu is incredible, with something to offer for everyone, and we are confident that Atlanta residents are going to love the welcoming atmosphere of Walk-On’s, where every day feels like game day.”

The Walk-On’s brand makes for an ideal franchising opportunity thanks to the combination of authentic culture, emphasis on innovation and originality, along with their focus on culinary excellence and community commitment. The company continues to be one of the fastest-growing restaurant chains in the country, adding 20 new locations to its footprint in the last year. Walk-On’s now has 75 operating restaurants across 13 states and several more in development.

“The work and devotion we’ve put into building a strong business model for our franchisees has been a driving force in our evolution and success in recent years,” said Scott Taylor, CEO of Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux. “We are ecstatic to see it all come to life following the signing of the development agreement with Tim, Carlos and Felipe. They have an impressive background and knowledge of the restaurant industry including architectural development. With the combination of Walk-On’s tools, technology and operational expertise and the group’s experience, we are looking forward to opening our first location in Atlanta.”

Establishing itself as an elevated sports bar experience in 2003 after opening its first location on the LSU campus, Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux has built an esteemed reputation for its memorable gameday experience with a taste of Louisiana. Over the past 10 years, the brand has successfully grown to more than 100 locations in development across the country. The Walk-On’s menu offers a wide variety of authentic Louisiana cuisine made from scratch using fresh ingredients and is paired with an extensive drink menu consisting of signature cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits. The distinctive menu features seafood and traditional Cajun cuisine along with burgers, salads and so much more. The Bistreaux specialties include the tasty Cajun Quesadillas, better known as ‘Cajundillas’, Lemon Butter Chicken, Pasta Alfredeaux, Tuscan Chicken, Cajun Ribeye, and Uncle B’s Chicken Tenders.
