A new Tropical Smoothie Cafe is planned for 572 Hank Aaron Dr. SE, according to a building permit filed with the City of Atlanta.
They hope to open by the end of the year, said co-owner Addison Parris, who operates another Tropical Smoothie Cafe location in Midtown Atlanta. He added that more locations are hopefully coming in the future.
“We’re excited and glad to serve the community and provide employment and good healthy food options for the community of Summerhill,” Parris told What Now Atlanta. “We’re very excited about coming to the area.”
According to the building permit, the space is 1,312 square feet, and the project will include new interior partitions and fixtures.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a national chain with more than 1,200 locations in the U.S. The fast-casual restaurant first opened in Destin, Florida, and is now headquartered in Atlanta. In addition to smoothies, the menu includes food items like sandwiches, salads and wraps.
