A new community may be underway in the Loring Heights neighborhood.
PulteGroup is planning to develop 60 4-story townhomes and a central amenities area at the corner of Northside Drive and Deering Road, according to recently-filed permits.
The Atlanta-based developer is behind several projects in the metro area, including Stonehill at Lenox.
Among groups of people sure to be excited about the development should be pedestrians accustomed to waving overgrown foliage out of the way whilst walking down the single sidewalk at the western portion of Deering.

I realize that these fall into the “budget” category, but don’t lower income buyers deserve better design? It wouldn’t take much to improve those thoroughly awful windows (especially on the second stories) to make these home more attractive. Whoever designed these units really has no sense of proportion, and I would hope whoever completes this project will seek out the necessary tweaks to make these units more attractive.
