Called 2069 Events, the project is planned for 2069 Cheshire Bridge Road NE, according to online construction plans.
The event venue would occupy the basement of the more than 30-year-old Heretic Atlanta, taking almost 7,000 square feet. The construction plans show an open area with a DJ booth and lounge.
A business called 2069 Events LLC was formed this summer, according to a filing with the Georgia Secretary of State’s office. The organizers of the business are Husham Mishu, Jody Tell and Keith Young.
Mishu and Young are co-owners of Future, a two-story dance club and cabaret that opened at Underground Atlanta last year. Future is geared toward LGBTQ patrons, as What Now Atlanta reported when it was first announced in 2018.
Young, in a text to What Now Atlanta, wouldn’t share much about 2069 Events.
“We are still gathering bids to see if the project is able to happen,” Young said.
But, the team has set up a website for 2069 Events, along with social media pages on Facebook and Instagram.
Plans have also been filed in Atlanta to permit the build out of the existing basement at 2069 Cheshire Bridge Road.
