Switchyards at Piedmont Center opens on February 22, 2022, and marks the fifth Atlanta club, with other locations in Cabbagetown, Decatur, Downtown, and Westside.

Located on the ground floor of Building 3 at Piedmont Center, Switchyards Buckhead “blends the energy of a coffee shop, the hospitality of a hotel lobby, and the focus of a classic library,” according to a press release. The space will feature a variety of tables and nooks for solo work and small meetings. A library will be in the back of the space providing an area for quiet work, and several phone booths will be available for private calls.

The club will feature a newsstand with magazines from all over the world, as well as a “Clubkeep” pouring craft coffee and tea. The space also opens to a courtyard.

“As the way we work continues to change, it becomes increasingly difficult for people to stay productive and connected,” Michael Tavani, CEO for Switchyards, said in the release. “We designed Switchyards neighborhood clubs to give communities a warm, vibrant environment to get work done. We were inspired by the scale, setting, and location of Piedmont Center, and saw an incredible opportunity to open a new location that’s convenient and unique for members. Nestled within a canopy of trees in the middle of the city and surrounded by open-air spaces, walking trails, and accessible parking, we’re thrilled to bring Switchyards to Buckhead and give the community a place to concentrate and recharge.”

Switchyards comes as part of The Ardent Companies’ ongoing transformation of Piedmont Center into a “highly connected and amentizied” mixed-use destination. Ardent began its investment into Piedmont Center in 2016, completing its acquisition of all 14 buildings in June 2021. Recent improvements include upgrades to conference rooms, office lobbies, and fitness centers, as well as exterior enhancements.

“Switchyards introduces an innovative, first-of-its-kind solution that reflects the future of work,” Matt Shulman, CEO for Ardent, said in the release. “We know the market’s office and residential community is looking for a place outside of the home and office to recharge and connect with others. We’re confident that Switchyards will be an incredible amenity for not only Piedmont Center’s tenants, but for the entire Buckhead community. We’re looking forward to welcoming them on campus next month.”

A Switchyards membership is $50 per month, which includes unlimited access to the club as well as bottomless coffee and tea.
