Sid and Ann Mashburn Opening Avalon Shop For The Holidays

Pop-up arrives Nov. 6 in the Alpharetta mixed-use development as part of the inaugural Holiday Market at Avalon.

Atlanta-based design duo Sid and Ann Mashburn of clothing and accessories brands Sid Mashburn and Ann Mashburn are opening the company’s first-ever pop-up with a shop in Avalon, the mixed-use community in Alpharetta developed and managed by North American Properties (NAP). The Sid & Ann Mashburn pop-up will debut on November 6 ahead of the holiday season, according to a press release Monday.

The holiday shop will pop-up in a 4,000-square-foot space near Sephora and Cafe Intermezzo, at 3120 Avalon Blvd, featuring “the best” of Sid and Ann’s designed-and-produced clothing, offering a merchandise mix that includes “their favorite classic, iconic and hard-to-find pieces.” Sid and Ann will spend time in the shop each week, offering their design and style insight to Avalon’s shoppers. 

“This is the first time we’ve ever opened a space in Atlanta outside of our West Midtown Flagship, so this is a big deal for us,” the Mashburns said in the release. “We’ve been longtime admirers of Avalon and the special sense of community that’s been built there, and we are excited to be part of that energy this holiday season.”

Elements of the pop-up will include vintage Turkish rugs, mood boards, a ping-pong table, vinyl records playing, and cold drinks for customers. The shop will be open to the public through the end of the year.

The duo first made their mark in Atlanta in 2007 with the opening of Sid Mashburn in the Westside Provisions District in West Midtown. In 2010, they introduced Ann Mashburn, the brand’s womenswear line. Today, the Atlanta Flagship is one of four connected men’s and women’s shops across the country, including Dallas, Houston and Georgetown, along with a standalone men’s shop in Los Angeles. 

Sid & Ann Mashburn is part of NAP’s inaugural Holiday Market at Avalon, a six-week pop-up market featuring a one-of-a-kind mix of local makers and merchants. 

“At Avalon, we’ve curated a retail experience unlike anything in the region, but we’re always looking for opportunities to introduce something new that we know will resonate with the Alpharetta community,” Adam Schwegman, partner and senior vice president of leasing at NAP, said in the release. “Sid & Ann’s Pop-Up Shop is the perfect complement to our existing lineup of best-in-class brands, and will undoubtedly enhance holiday shopping at Avalon this year.”
